Dot Gay LLC is not the only company applying for the .gay LLC. The Dot Gay Alliance also announced its application for the .gay domain name string and plans to use the revenues generated from the sale of .gay domain names to fund LGBT civil rights groups around the world if approved by ICANN. [6]
