Paul M. Kane is an experienced CEO and Chairman of the Kane group of companies. In 2010, Paul Kane was selected by ICANN as one of 7 TCRs; who are responsible for safe-guarding a share of the ROOT Zone's DNSSEC Recovery Key.[1] [2]
He has been involved in the software development/Internet industry since 1984. Paul’s group of companies currently employ 114 staff in offices based in UK, Japan, US and satellite offices in Oman and Dubai.
One of his companies, ICB, located in UK and Tokyo, provides Registry services to 14 TLDs both directly and other TLDs as a back-end technical contractor. In addition, ICB owns and operates its own DNS infrastructure on 4 continents around the world, receiving around 12 billion queries per day providing 24x7x365 support.

He was appointed as an interim Names Council Representative to the Registries Constituency in November, 1999, then elected to the DNSO - Names Council as a representative of the Registrars Constituency in March, 2000.

Paul is a Special Adviser to a number of Governments and United Nations Agencies for issues relating to E Commerce and the Internet. Since 1992 he has been frequent presenter and speaker on Internet issues at Internet Summits, WIPO, UNCTAD, WTO and the Group of 8 Industrialised Nations Meetings.[3]

He is Married with two young children and they reside in Bournemouth, UK.
