Sandra Hoferichter
Sandra Hoferichter, is the Secretary General of EuroDIG, the European Dialogue on Internet Governance;[1].She is also the organiser of the European Summer School on Internet Governance (EuroSSIG), ICANN Studienkreis.[2] or Experts meetings on the Internet of Things.
In 2010 Sandra was elected as one European representative to ICANN’s At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC ) and served on it until November 2016. Since November 2016 she is representing the ALAC at ICANN’s Nomination Committee (NomCom).
Sandra s self-employed and holds a degree in Architecture from the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK).
Beginnings[edit | edit source]
She became involved in the Internet Governance process in 2006 via her work as the project manager of Medienstadt Leipzig e.V., which is a German not for profit organization and recognized At-Large Structure. In July, 2006, she attended the ICA-IAMCR Expert Meeting in Rathen, Germany; this led to the establishment of GIGANET, The Global Internet Governance Academic Network, and also helped establish the Summer Schools in Internet Governance.[3]
