He was responsible for strategic actions for development and networking.[4]
Internet Engagement[edit | edit source]
Sébastien has been deeply involved in the Internet world since 1994 with his SNCF (French National Railways) experience, where he was responsible for launching its website, which was the first e-business web site in France. He was also involved in developing a comprehensive program to allow employees to be connected and to use Internet technologies.
During the 2000–2003 period, Sébastien was Deputy General Manager of CIGREF (Club Informatique des Grandes Entreprises Françaises) and he has represented CIGREF and business users in the Internet Governance field at all national, regional, and international levels. CIGREF has been involved as a member of the Business Constituency since ICANN's beginning.
Sébastien participates, in a personal capacity, on the ICANN New TLDs Evaluation Process Planning Task Force and to the Assistance Group of the Evaluation and Reform Committee for the formation of the ccNSO.[5]
Bachollet was asked to be DotGreen's European liaison and member.[6] His engagement ends when he was selected by At-Large to be ICANN Board member in November 2010.

The event is organized by ISOC France with the help of CIGREF, Medef, and CCIP. In 2006, he launched EGENI Africa in conjunction with ISOC Morocco.
In 2007, Sébastien suggested the idea of an ALS Summit during the Lisbon ICANN meeting; the Summit finally took place at the Mexico ICANN meeting in 2009.[7]
