.broadway is a new generic top level domain name (gTLD) proposed to the New gTLD Program of ICANN.
Applicants
Three companies submitted an application for the .broadway string seeking the approval of the internet governing body for its inclusion in the root zone of the internet domain name system (DNS) and to serve as registry operator. The companies include: [1]
- Celebrate Broadway, Inc., in partnership with Minds + Machines, a back-end registry service provider and a wholly-owned subsidiary of TLDH. Antony Van Couvering is the main contact person in the application.
- Goose North, LLC, is another company created by Donuts to submit its application for .broadway. Donuts is a start-up registry operator that applied for 307 new gTLDs. The company invested $56 million just for application fees. [2]
- Key GTLD Holding Inc. this company is represented by Matthew Russotti.
