EBU also owns the Eurovision Song Contest, which was established since the 1950s.[1]

The application for the TLD was confirmed by Jean-Paul Philippot, President and Ingrid Deltenre, Director General of the organization respectively. EBU's bid for .eurovision together with the .radio TLD is supported by the World Broadcasting Unions.[2]
