Chris LaHatte is the current ICANN Ombudsman, a position he has held since July, 2011. Prior to this, he was a Barrister for 33 years. His role in ICANN is centered around dispute resolution. He is a member of Building Adjudicators, a Fellow of AMINZ in Mediation and Arbitration, an editor for Brookers District Court Procedure, and a Costs Assessor and Mediator for the New Zealand Law Society in Auckland and Wellington. Mr. LaHatte has had many years practicing as a barrister in New Zealand and worldwide. Chris is considered very experienced in several areas including insolvency litigation. The Not-for-Profit Operational Concerns Constituency (NPOC) is a new constituency within the Generic Names Supporting Organization's Non-Commercial Stake Holders Group (NCSG). NPOC represents the interests of domain name registrants who belong to non-profit and non-government organizations.
