Chris Gonyea is currently the Product Manager for Traffic Management and DNS for Dyn. His focus is on improving Dyn's products and capabilities to address customer needs and issues.[1]

Career

Prior to joining Dyn, Chris had a career in IT with consulting, system administrator, and technical support duties.

He joined Dyn in April 2009 as a member of the DynDNS Support team, providing technical support to nearly 4 million DynDNS.com customers. He provided support for products including Dynamic DNS, authoritative DNS, email relay services, and more. Additionally, he was one of the team members that monitored abuse on the services, ran Dyn's efforts to provide tech support via social media accounts, and wrote documentation.

In August 2010 he became the first member of Dyn's enterprise support and sales engineering team, focusing on the DynECT Managed DNS product. In December 2011 he became Director of Client Services, building and overseeing all enterprise support and sales engineering teams.

Starting in September 2013, Chris moved from his support and sales engineering roots to Product Management, overseeing all authoritative DNS and Traffic Management services at Dyn.

Chris's first ICANN meeting was ICANN 50 in London. He is interested in Security, the DNS, Internet Performance, Internet Governance, and Domain Registrations.[1]
