Ayman Adhair is the Founder and CEO of Global Integrated Management Consulting, an IT and management consulting firm. He participates in a wide variety of global conferences. He is also a Member of the Advisory Board of Africa Freedom Endowment, the Vice President of the Egyptian-American Cultural Association, a Member of the Advisory Council of America Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), and a Member of the United Nations’ Information and Communication Technology Task Force.[1]

Ayman Adhair is founder and CEO of Global Integrated Management Consulting (Global IMC), an international company providing management consulting services for government clients around the globe. He has significant experience in government transformation and implementation of large scale IT solutions. He led the development of several national strategic visions and implemented country-wide e-Gov projects.
Mr. Adhair is also recognized as a thought-leader in public services quality improvement, senior leadership capacity development, and electronic government. He has been instrumental in developing several innovative service offerings that enabled the successful delivery of complex engagements. This included the development of: Integrated, Innovative and Informed Government (i-Gov) Solution; and National e-Services Assessment Solution; National ICT Eco-system; Leaders Developing Leaders Solution; and National Project Management Capacity Building Solution.
Mr. Adhair is a former Managing Director for BearingPoint/KPMG Consulting where he spent 12 years with the firm UK/US offices and led expanding the firm global footprint in the Emerging Markets. He led all aspects of business development and contract delivery of large management consulting implementation projects in several countries including projects in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Pakistan, South Korea, Montenegro, Spain, Malaysia, Brunei and USA.
Mr. Adhair has been strong promoter for the utilization of IT for government transformation. He has contributed and chaired several international events and conferences, including:
Chaired the e-Gov strategy roundtable part of e-Strategies for Africa conference in Cape Town, South Africa. The objective of the conference is to share practical experiences of e-Gov implementations that can influence the ICT policy making at a national level.
Speaker at the 3rd China International ICT Outsourcing Development Conference (in Wuhan) and the 2nd International Outsourcing Business Development Summit (in Hangzhou) where he shared his vision to differentiate China outsourcing industry.
Invited by the U.S Department of Commerce to participate in a video conference with an emerging market professional association to assist them in how to enhance their sector competitiveness in order to enter the US market. He shared with the audience current US, regional and global trends and proposed a roadmap for strengthening their sector.
Speaker at U.S. World Best Technology Showcase 2009 in Dallas, Texas, where he conducted a presentation about Innovation Eco-system for Emerging Markets as a key component of economic growth. He also was nominated as a Judge to evaluate and select this year world best technology among 50 shortlisted new technologies.
Conducted a workshop for Columbia University Global Executive MBA program, in New York City, addressing opportunities and risks of doing business in the Emerging Markets.
Mr. Adhair is the Vice President of Egyptian-American Cultural Association, one of the largest Egyptian-American non-for-profit foundations in Washington Metropolitan area. He has also been selected to serve in the Advisory Council of America Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), a 42 years old $60 million non-for-profit organization serving refugees across MENA region. Mr Adhair was elected as a member of the United Nations’ Information and Communication Technology Task Force.
Recently, Mr. Adhair has been selected to serve in the Advisory Board of Africa Freedom Endowment, a multibillion dollar program to enhance ICT utilization across the African continent. The endowment is managed by Phelps Stokes, a 100 year old nonprofit organization focusing on identifying, investing in, and transforming under-served communities worldwide.
Mr. Adhair holds two postgraduate degrees from London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics and Computer Science.

Such an approach has enabled them to meet the challenges of services delivery improvements by linking between implementable strategy, human capital development, and process improvement. Managing the change is the catalyst to ensure smooth integration among different dimensions of our approach.
Under Mr. Adhair leadership, Global IMC has led the following projects:
Government of Egypt: Design Center of Innovation for Solar Energy Research Global IMC has been leading the efforts working with renowned scientists from the U.S. and National Science Foundation to prepare the strategy and roadmap for establishing Center of Innovation for solar energy research and technology commercialization in Egypt. This effort is aligned with President Obama initiative for Muslim Majority Countries that he launched in Cairo. The basic focus of the center would be to combine research and technology support for renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies to enable Egypt to achieve its renewable energy targets. The center will train the future workforce and develop competencies that will identify new research opportunities in solar energy and discover new cutting edge science, and invent energy efficient technologies, going more effectively through the full R&D life-cycle—from education, basic scientific research through applied research and engineering, to testing, scale-up, demonstration, and commercialization.
U.S. Department of Commerce: Design, Develop and Conduct U.S. Marketing Forum for a Developing Country IT Association Member Companies The project consists of three phases and targeted small ICT companies to develop their value proposition, outsourcing capacity building, and conducting marketing forum in the US. The project is sponsored by the US Department of State and Department of Commerce in Washington, DC.
American University: Design and Develop Executive Leadership Capacity Development Programs for Turkey, Vietnam, and Libya Global IMC has been assisting American University in DC to develop customized certificates and programs aiming at development executive leadership core competencies among public sector staff focusing on the emerging and developing countries. The program consists of leadership development component and addresses core competencies required for by the client in order for the participants to do their job well in serving their constituencies. For the Government of Vietnam, Global IMC is designing and directing a 2-year leadership development program for 320 senior Vietnamese executive. In addition, Mr. Adhair will present best practices for developing corporate strategy highlighting the role of senior leadership in successful development and implementation of corporate strategy.

In 1996, Mr. Adhair joined KPMG Consulting/BearingPoint Inc (at the time part of KPMG Peat Marwick) International Public Sector Practice as a Senior Consultant in the London Office. KPMG is one of the world top 4 audit and consulting firms with annual turnover of US$ 16 billion. He was seconded to support the firm’s management consulting practice in the Gulf Region of the Middle East where he was based in the firm’s UAE regional office. He participated in delivering several complex engagements and led strategy and transformation work stream efforts. His key accomplishments included providing consulting services for various clients mainly in the area of strategy, transformation, and process improvement utilizing internet based technologies to improve customer satisfaction.
In 2000, Mr. Adhair was promoted to a Senior Manager position and transferred to the corporate head office in McLean, Virginia – USA. He led a new company-wide initiative for building a US based consulting practice focused on providing management consulting services to clients in the developing and emerging markets. This included identifying and delivering service offerings in key strategic focused areas, such as: national strategy, government-wide transformation, integrated services delivery, services improvement, electronic government, and program management. The initiative was triggered by separating the KPMG Consulting practice from the KPMG Audit practice and changing the firm name to BearingPoint. Mr. Adhair was responsible for developing the new practice charter, mandate, and business plan. He surveyed the marketplace and led the development of account plans in several targeted countries in addition to leading projects execution.
In 2004, Mr Adhair was promoted to Managing Director (Partner) as a result of his successful sustainable business for the developing and emerging markets. He was instrumental in developing business cases for establishing two new offices for BearingPoint in MENA region, one in the UAE and the other in Qatar. He continued to provide leadership support to BearingPoint teams working in the MENA regions.

Mr. Adhair joined Investbank in 1993 as Head of the MIS Section and was responsible for the change process from the existing VS WANG System to Client/Server architecture. He led the development of a detailed implementation plan, preparing the statement of requirements, and evaluating and selecting the proposed systems. In addition, he was responsible for restructuring the MIS department organization structure.
Furthermore, he led the implementation of the first SWIFT technology for fund transfers between local and international banks in the UAE. This involved creating a new organizational unit (Telecommunication Centre) and aligning it within the bank structure. Mr Adhair developed all procedure manuals and training material for the new Centre. As part of the Central Bank initiatives to automate the UAE Clearing System, Mr. Adhair managed the implementation of the required systems. This included preparing the statement of requirements, evaluating and selecting of systems and supervising the implementation of the new system.

After completing his BS degree, Mr. Adhair joined a regional consulting firm, Barakat Consulting Office (BCO), as a business/systems analyst. For three years, he gained considerable experience in the area of organizational transformation. While at BCO, he was involved in several management consulting and IT projects. This included: UAE Central Bank – organizational restructuring, job description development and position description classification, simplification of procedures and regulations, and development of a five-year training plan. Investment Bank for Trade and Finance – Evaluation of existing information systems activities including identification of improvements in organizational arrangements, job description and classification, simplification of procedures and definition of standards, and development of operational manuals. Saif Group – Improvement of the organizations performance by enhancing the line of reporting and identifying clear job descriptions and responsibilities for all the organizational units within the Group. Emirates Investment – Feasibility study for establishing a pharmaceutical plant in the UAE which involved planning and execution of a market survey, assessment of economic viability, and the development of a marketing strategy.
