Kuo-Wei Wu is the CEO of NIIEPA.[1] He has been elected by ICANN's Address Supporting Organization to a three year term concluding six months after the end of the Annual General Meeting in 2012.[2]

Education

Kuo-Wei has a mathematics BSc degree from Tunghai University, an MSc degree in Mathematics from University of Cincinnati, and an MSc degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.[3]

Career History

Wu is one of the pioneers of HPC Asia, TANET, TWNIC, APTLD, and CDNC. He is currently a board member or executive council at TWNIC, APIA, TWIA and COSA. He has also served as a board member at PIR and APNIC.[4]

He has worked as the director of NCHC. He co-founded Asia Pacific Supercomputer Center Consortium (HPC Asia) to lead the experience sharing over all the Asia Pacific Supercomputer Centers.[5]

He worked for Cray Research Inc. from 1984-1990 and has been the VP at Yam Digital, Inc. He also lead the internet business of Acer as its Vice President. He has been involved with ICANN activities (GAC, ALS, ccNSO and ASO) since 1999.[6]
