.fish is a top-level domain name (TLD) from ICANN's New gTLD Program. The proposed application succeeded and was delegated to the Root Zone on 21 February 2014. The registry operator is Donuts (Fox Woods, LLC), which filed for a total of 307 domain name strings and invested $56 million just for application fees. Demand Media provides back-end registry services. This applicant submitted a Public Interest Commitment, which can be downloaded here. Donuts won in a private auction the right to .fish, beating out fellow applicant Dot Club LLC. The auction was managed by Innovative Auctions and the winning bid was not disclosed.
