Private Auction[edit | edit source]
A Private auction conducted in September 2014 left Donuts as the only applicant for the string, as the other applicant withdrew. The winning bid was not revealed.[2]
Contract signed[edit | edit source]
On the 16th October 2014, Donuts (Blue Falls, LLC) received a Registry Agreement signed by ICANN for .legal after passing the Initial Evaluation.[3]
Delegation[edit | edit source]
.legal was delegated to the Root Zone of the DNS on the 26th November, 2014, completing the successful application for the string.[4]
