.quebec is a new geographical TLD being proposed to ICANN's New gTLD Program by PointQuébec, a non-profit organization interested to become its registry operator. The organizations aims to improve the businesses, culture, tourism and the online identity of the Quebec and Quebecers through the .quebec string. [1] The application for the .quebec string is supported by the Quebec National Assembly. [2]
