The Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI) is a global initiative that works to advance policy and regulatory reforms aimed at lowering Internet access costs. A4AI brings together stakeholders from the private sector, governments, and civil society to promote universal, affordable Internet access, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
A4AI focuses on addressing high connectivity costs as a barrier to Internet adoption. Its efforts include producing research, engaging in regional dialogues, and advocating for policies that align with a set of agreed-upon good practices among its members.
The initiative is hosted by the World Wide Web Foundation.[1]
