Asociacion Paraguaya de Derecho Informatico y Tecnologico (APADIT) (English: Paraguayan Association of Computer Law and Technology) is an ALS from Paraguay. It is a non-profit organization founded on June 15, 2002.[1]

Objectives[edit | edit source]

The main objective of the Association is to promote the development of legal sciences in their interaction with new information and communication technologies.

The purposes of the association include:

  • bringing together legal professionals and scholars recognized for their intellectual, professional, or public contributions in the field of law and its relationship with new information and communication technologies;
  • advising, assisting, and representing—collectively and, when appropriate, individually—organizations, companies, media outlets, and national institutions in matters directly or indirectly related to the Association’s objectives;
  • promoting and encouraging research and study of computer law and related fields through the organization of conferences, seminars, symposia, and the analysis of regulations pertaining to this specialty;
  • organizing and participating in conferences, meetings, panels, seminars, workshops, courses, and symposia where topics related to legal sciences and information and communication technologies are discussed, studied, and developed;
  • contributing to the drafting and presentation of legislative proposals within a legal framework suited to the national and regional context, in alignment with the Global Information Society;
  • associating and cooperating with similar organizations at the national, regional, and international levels, promoting the exchange of related studies;
  • expressing its opinion, either unilaterally or at the request of public authorities, universities, or private entities, on matters of general interest related to law and new technologies;
  • publishing materials deemed appropriate to fulfill the purposes set forth in these Statutes; and
  • articipating in any activity related to law and the Information Society that aligns with the Association’s objectives.[2]
