Brunei Darussalam Network Information Center (BNNIC) is a unit under the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) ,who is the national registry for .bn domain name.[1] In 2013, AITI created the BNNIC as a private entity to act as a registry for .bn. Following the completion of technical and transfer plans, BNNIC commenced a request to ICANN for the redelegation of .bn on 24 May 2014, which was conceded.
The registry offers top- and second-level domains (such as .com.bn) via registrars licensed with BNNIC. Registrants must reside in Brunei Darussalam or demonstrate some nexus of activity with the country.[2]
