Daniel Marshall is a student at Georgetown University, and will graduate in the Spring of 2019. He attended ICANN 53, his first ICANN conference, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, intending to focus on both Human Rights with regard to the internet, as well as ICANNWiki. His mother, Judy Song-Marshall, currently sits on the board of ICANNWiki.
In the fall of 2015, Daniel enrolled in the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He intends to major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, to minor in Diplomatic Studies, and to become proficient in the Spanish language, having already completed the equivalent of four semesters of college-level Spanish. In late August 2015, he attended YLEAD, a program held at Georgetown University, which teaches 16 students about issues of Diversity and Multiculturalism on campus, and subsequently what can be done to help further the cause of inclusion and diversity in the classroom.
Actively focused on Human Rights, (and more often than not the lack thereof), Daniel hopes to eventually contribute to global efforts to alleviate the effects of poverty. He currently is developing his own website, which will eventually act as a source for articles on issues with Human Rights, Diversity, and Multiculturalism. Though not active, Daniel has registered the domain, and fully intends to have this website up and running soon.
Daniel believes that both access to the Internet, as well as the ability to have a voice online, are Human Rights that have arisen as a result of the complex and ever-changing world around us. Subsequently, he hopes to act as an advocate for access to the Internet by all who require (or simply want) access to the internet.
