Diana Middleton is a senior program manager for ICANN working in the Global Domains and Strategy - Strategic Initiatives Department.[1]

Middleton's first ICANN meeting was ICANN 49 in Singapore.[1]

A native of Dallas, Texas, Diana served in the United States Marine Corps from 1990 to 1998 where she worked as a combat correspondent, which included work in marketing and public relations. At various duty stations in Japan, California, and Maryland, she wrote and edited articles for the base newspaper, organized community relations events, and ran the budget, marketing, and event coordination efforts for the local recruiting stations. Diana also won awards for her writing and received the Navy Achievement Medal for her work in the field.

After eight years of active duty service and being promoted to staff sergeant, Diana left the Marine Corps and worked as an advertising account executive and then for a local plastics manufacturing company as their marketing manager. Before moving to DC, Diana was a stay-at-home mom for ten years (according to her—toughest but most rewarding job in her career) and was also an elementary education teacher.[2]

Education[edit | edit source]

Diana has her Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Diana has her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and her Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education.[2]
