Digital Archery Experts was co-founded by Dirk Bhagat, Colin Campbell and Peter LaMantia,[1] who are well-known for working on the .club new gTLD application with .CLUB Domains LLC. They developed Digital Archery Experts to facilitate their own needs to get into the first batch in ICANN's New gTLD Program, and then began offering the service to fellow applicants. The Digital Archery system was a much-maligned way of determining in what order new gTLD applicants would be processed. The program was eventually canceled, following technical glitches in the system and continued protest from much of the ICANN community. All clients that had agreed to work with Digital Archery Experts were freed from their contracts, and any fees were returned.[2]
