In February 2012, it was reported that Future Spirits is one of the four companies approved by the Osaka Prefecture to apply for the .osaka geographical TLD with ICANN's New gTLD Program. It was not clear if Future Spirits would submit its application independently or if it will partner with BusinessRalliart, Interlink and GMO Registry to operate the proposed .osaka registry. Future Spirits did not submit an application, whereas GMO Registry and Interlink did.
