George Kilguss III is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Verisign. His responsibilities include all financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance and investor relations, and he also leads human resources. George Kilguss reports directly to CEO Jef Bidzos.[1] He joined Verisign in May, 2012. [2]
Career History[edit | edit source]
Prior to joining Verisign, Mr. Kilguss served as the senior vice president and CFO for Internap Network Services Corporation, an IT infrastructure services company. When leaving Internap, the CEO noted that during Kilguss' tenure they "improved financial operations, increased the transparency and timeliness of our financial reporting and significantly improved profitability.”[3] Previous CFO level positions include Towerstream Corporation, a wireless Internet provider; and Stratos Global Corporation, a mobile satellite service company. He has also held senior positions in the investment and commercial banking sectors, including with Riparian Partners, Fleet Associates and Bank of Boston Corporation.
George Kilguss earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in economics and finance from The University of Hartford.[4]
