ICANN Leadership Program

The ICANN Academy Leadership Program (LP) an ICANN Community effort developed by the ICANN Academy Working Group, an ICANN-wide group consisting of participants from each AC/SO/stakeholder group. The ICANN Academy Leadership Program is designed for current and incoming leaders to increase their understanding of the complexity of ICANN and develop their facilitation skills. As of 2023, 30 seats are available in the program, one for the GNSO Council, each Stakeholder Group, and RALO, five for the ICANN Board, and two for the ASO, ccNSO, GAC, RSSAC, and SSAC.[1]

History

The 2013 LP took place on the sidelines of the ICANN 48 Meeting in Buenos Aires in November 2013. The 2014 LP took place the week prior to ICANN 51 Meeting in Los Angeles in October 2014. The 2015 LP took place the week prior to ICANN 54 Meeting in Dublin in October 2015. The 2017 LP took place the week prior to ICANN 58 in Copenhagen in March 2017. The 2018 LP took place the week prior to ICANN 61 in Puerto Rico in March 2018. The 2019 LP took place the week prior to ICANN 64 in Kobe in March 2019. The 2023 LP took place the week before ICANN 76 in Cancun.
