Jason Hynds is an current Executive Member and former President of the Barbados ICT Professionals Association, Inc (BIPA) from June 2013 to July 2014. He is also the Chief Technology Officer for P.a.R.T.S. Inc.[1]

He was an ICANN Fellow for ICANN 54 in Dublin and ICANN 49 in Singapore. He is interested in Internet Governance (IG), Security, New gTLDs, and ccTLD management.[1]

In his native Barbados, he is active in ICT: working professionally as a systems administrator, network administrator and ICT consultant. He was one of the initial members of BIPA and remained active in its ongoing operation - from its official 2006 beginning, to its resurgence since 2010. He's also a member of the Information Systems Security Association, Barbados chapter (ISSA Barbados).

He participates in some Caribbean level groups: the Caribbean Network Operators Group (CaribNOG) and the Caribbean ICT stakeholders Virtual Community (CIVIC).

Since late 2014 he has been trying to encourage local participation in IG via coordinating a remote hub http://fb.com/bbremotehub. He is also working with colleagues on forming an Internet Society chapter in order to continue some of the local IG activities.

Hynds has attended 2+ ICANN meetings, including ICANN 50 in London.[1]
