Juan A. Figueroa Rosado is a Computer Scientist from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He started in ICANN as a NextGenner at ICANN61 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Juan is a researcher and is currently working under NASA grant on the topic of "Harmonic Constituent Analysis for the calculation of Sea Level Rise" and has research experience in areas such as computer vision, robotics and, Big Data. He hopes to immerse himself in the ICANN organization creating a more representative voice for Puerto Rico and its academic sector by providing newer opportunities and inclusion in internet governance-related issues.

(September 2017 - May-2018) University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon Researching the topic of "Estimation of the Rate of Sea Level Rise in Puerto Rico from Harmonic Constituent Analysis of Tidal Records" under a NASA grant.

(May 2017 - July 2017) Missouri University of Science and Technology Developed an algorithm that employs the cluster-tree data structure to cluster semantic trajectories based on similarities on the research project titled “Multi-Party C-Tree Based Semantic Trajectory Clustering with MapReduce”.
