ICANN 57 was held in Hyderabad, India, at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre from November 3-9, 2016. This is the first meeting in Hyderabad, and the second meeting in India.

ICANN Accountability Post-IANA Transition[edit | edit source]
The ICANN Community focused on developing enhancements to ensure that ICANN is fully accountable to its stakeholders since the US government completed the withdrawal of its safety net in terms of performing the IANA Functions. Discussions focused on "Work Stream 2:" Diversity at ICANN, Staff accountability, SO/AC accountability, transparency in ICANN’s Document Information Disclosure Process, interactions with governments, the whistleblower policy, and ICANN Board deliberation.[1]
