Don Moody is an attorney with over 20 years experience in the technology industry, advising companies on intellectual property, financial regulation, data privacy and other legal topics. Among other roles, Don served as lead Internet counsel for Skype from 2005-2012, and was on the "front lines" of the peer-to-peer music copyright wars in the early 2000s, having represented both Kazaa and BitTorrent for various IP matters. - On December 30, 2021, in a CircleID blog post, Jeff Neuman questioned the practicality of ICANN’s Accountability Mechanisms, called for ICANN's Whistleblower Policy to extend to persons other than employees of ICANN, and accused ICANN of retaliating against DHH for filing an Urgent Reconsideration Request citing ICANN staff's inaction in responding to its Assignment Request for the .hiphop Registry Agreement. ICANN has paused any further consideration of DHH’s Assignment request pending the outcome of the Reconsideration Request by the ICANN Board Accountability Mechanisms Committee (BAMC).

- On January 13, 2022, DHH sent a letter withdrawing its reconsideration request and posting rebuttals to ICANN's blog post as it related to .hiphop.
