Frederick Schiwek (Freddy) is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Domain Invest and Co-Founder of voipGATE [1]. He is widely known as the former EVP for EuroDNS of Datacenter (DCL) Group. [2]
A strong figure in the Domain Name market, Frederick Schiwek is a frequent speaker and adviser to domain name conferences and events. He has personally participated in some strong domain name sales in the recent years.[3] He resides in Germany,close to the the Luxembourg border[4] and enjoys Golf, Squash, Lesen, Reisen in his free time. - When Frederick Schiwek was 14 years old, he started publishing a Computer-Magazine for Commodore 64 users. [6] He attended the Higher Economic School in Germany and started to work as a Turbo C and C++ Program Developer from the age of 16. [7]
- Frederick Schiwek's working experience started with PM-International, where he gained experience in direct sales and online marketing over a 5-year period, in a number of positions including Marketing Assitent ( from May 1997 to December 1998) and Internet Marketing (from 1998 to 2001). [8]
- In 2001, He joined Netline S.A., a Luxembourg ISP , where he spent 3 years as International Business Development Manager, distributing ISP Products.
- In March 2004, Frederick Schiwek joined EuroDNS, one of the leading domain register company of Luxembourg,as EVP & International Business Development. He worked there until September 2008. [9]
- In December 2004, he co-founded voipGATE, a European Voice over IP Company, with the parent company of EuroDNS Datacenter Group. [10]
- He has been acting as Member of the Board of the telecommunication company EnumDNS since 2006.
- He is also the Co-Founder and Managing Director of domain marketplace company Domain Invest, founded in April 2008.
- In early 2010, Frederick Schiwek made news by selling VooDoo.com to Donny Simonton from Parked.com for $300k.[11] According to Schiwek, Domain Invest bought the name for $31k a few weeks ago from selling and sold it for $300k.[12]
