    Defensive Registration is the registering of domain names, often across multiple TLDs and in varied grammatical formats, for the primary purpose of protecting intellectual property or trademark from DNS Abuse and cybersquatting. Despite changes in the domain name industry, defensive registration continues to be common practice for many brands and especially risk-averse organizations.
