The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a blockchain protocol that permits users to use human-readable names in place of cryptocurrency wallet addresses. ENS operates similarly to the DNS and is ICP-3 compatible. As with second-level domains, users may choose a name under the ENS default domain (.eth), or they may connect an existing domain in the DNS to their wallet using ENS as the validator. Connecting an existing web domain to the ENS requires the user to activate DNSSEC for the domain and add an

record to the DNS records for the domain through their registrar.

- The ICANN Board approved to set aside US$1 million of its funds to keep the internet working in Ukraine. ICANN also suspended the contractual requirement that registrars cancel domains that haven’t been renewed.
- On March 10, a former ICANN CEO, two EU parliamentarians, and technical, security, and legal experts sent The Register an open letter to be shared with the Internet Governance community arguing that the time has come to develop a targeted internet sanctions system.
