- On July 26, CentralNic announced that it was awarded the contract to support Greenland’s country code top-level domain, GL.
- On July 25, the ICANN Board moved the discussion on closed generics forward, proposing Melissa Peters Allgood, the Conflict Resolution Specialist on ICANN Organization's Policy Development Support team, serve as the facilitator for the Governmental Advisory Committee/GNSO Council dialogue on Closed Generics.
- IGF-USA took place on July 21, in a hybrid format, with an in-person option in Washington, D.C. and a live stream option on Vimeo. Videos of all the sessions are still available for viewing.
- On July 14, EnCirca, (an ICANN-accredited domain name registrar), introduced AltRoots.com, the first Web3 trademark search engine.
- On July 13, ICANN announced registration for ICANN 75 Annual General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is open. ICANN 75 will be a hybrid event from 17–22 September 2022.
