Mark McFadden is an IANA Resource Specialist at ICANN.[1] Currently he is working as Chief Technology Officer at the Commercial Internet eXchange (CIX),[2] a non-profit trade association of ISPs and public data internetworking service providers. As the CTO of CIX he supervises the technical coordination of all of CIX's activities. He has contributed to the development of global addressing policy while working as a routine participant at IANA.[3]

Mr. McFadden is a member of the Registry Services Technical Evaluation Panel, which is a technical group within ICANN's GNSO.[4]

Career History[edit | edit source]

He has worked as a network engineer, ISP and consultant to ISPs. He participated at IFWP meetings which propelled the activity and eventually became ICANN.

He has been a participant at the IFWP meetings that helped propel the activity that eventually became ICANN. He is an editor at the ICANN’s Ad Hoc report on Addressing and a regular participant in the work of the ASO and the ISP and connectivity provider constituency in the DNSO.[6]
