Jorge Plano is an adviser of the Camara Argentina de Bases de Datos y Servicios en Linea (CABASE). He is also a professor at the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional, Buenos Aires and member of the board of the Fundacion Ictys.[1] Mr. Plano also sits on the Advisory Committee on Independent Review at ICANN.[2]
Jorge Plano is engaged in the study and diffusion of the social impact of the digital and network technologies and was an organizer of the IFWP-LA&C Buenos Aires where he acted as scribe in some sessions. He was National Director of Informatics Policies at the government of Argentina (1989-96). In the 80s he worked in consultancy on information systems and technological development in the computer industry. Previously, he worked in managerial positions in data processing with international companies and the state administration. Mr. Plano is trained in Information Systems.
