Dr. Abdulaziz AL-Zoman is an associate professor who works for CITC as an IT Consultant, and is the director and founder of the Saudi Network Information Center. SaudiNIC is responsible of registering domain names under the Saudi ccTLD, .sa and IDN ccTLD, .السعودية. In 1986, he received his bachelor degree in computer engineering from the College of Computer and Information Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science in 1990 and 1995, respectively, from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Dr. Al-Zoman attends and presents at industry conferences, such as those associated with the IGF. He is an expert on IDNs and has worked extensively to implement arabic based TLDs. The company is based in Brisbane, Australia and currently has over 900,000 domains under its management. Formerly known as Domain Intellect, Fabulous is a subsidiary of the Australian company Dark Blue Sea, Ltd. In 2000, Michael Dowling, an IT and Marketing specialist form Melbourne, Australia, founded a domain name registration company Domain Intellect. The company was sold to Dark Blue Sea Ltd., a publicly listed company in Australia, in 2002.
