Communautique is a Montreal-based non-profit dedicated to promoting information literacy and promoting civic participation via communication technologies. It aims to democratize cyberculture for everyone, to combat socioeconomic exclusion and promote resourcefulness and self-reliance. It offers training to organizations across Quebec teaching basic internet skills as well as discussing social and business issues. Its research analyzes how socioeconomic factors influence the appropriation of Internet communication technologies. It also offers web development services. It is a recognized At-Large Structure within ICANN.

On April 20, the cybersecurity authorities of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory, reiterating that critical infrastructure network defenders should prepare for and mitigate potential cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, DDoS Attacks, and cyber espionage, by hardening their cyber defenses and performing due diligence in identifying indicators of malicious activity.
On April 25, Avri Doria announced the preparation of a pilot Holistic Review of ICANN. The Terms of Reference team will meet regularly over the coming months in order to deliver the final TOR draft to the ICANN Community at ICANN 74 - The Hague and for Public Comment.
The 2022 LAC Domain Names Week, a virtual conference for those interested in the domain name ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean, is running from Tuesday-Thursday, April 26-28. Registration is open.
