Mohamed Ibrahim is Somalia's former Minister of Posts and Telecommunication. Ibrahim was the founding Chairman of ISOC Somalia, and .so registry, and a Research Fellow at University of Melbourne and Swinburne University. Mohamed was also the Chairman of the Centre for Research and Dialogue, and Somalia's IGF. An active participant at ICANN conferences, he was involved in the ccNSO and GAC on behalf of Somalia. He also represents that country at other fora, such as in AfTLD.

- On April 20, the cybersecurity authorities of the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom released a joint Cybersecurity Advisory, reiterating that critical infrastructure network defenders should prepare for and mitigate potential cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, DDoS Attacks, and cyber espionage, by hardening their cyber defenses and performing due diligence in identifying indicators of malicious activity.
- On April 25, Avri Doria announced the preparation of a pilot Holistic Review of ICANN. The Terms of Reference team will meet regularly over the coming months in order to deliver the final TOR draft to the ICANN Community at ICANN 74 - The Hague and for Public Comment.
- The 2022 LAC Domain Names Week, a virtual conference for those interested in the domain name ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean, is running from Tuesday-Thursday, April 26-28. Registration is open.
