Adenike Osofisan is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association. She is a pioneer member that saw to the creation of the association from inception. She seats on various boards in and outside Nigeria. She is married with children and grandchildren.
Career History[edit | edit source]
She teaches at the University of Ibadan, Oyo State. She was a pioneer and is the current Director of University of Ibadan School of Business.
ICANN and Internet Governance Participation[edit | edit source]
Her first ICANN meeting was in Dakar, Senegal in 2011. She is a member of the GNSO.
Education[edit | edit source]
She holds a B.Sc., M.Sc. PhD in Computer Science, and MBA in Finance and Accounts.
She attended the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) in 1972 and left to attend Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta for her Masters degree.
She is the first female with a PhD in Sub-Shara Africa in Computer Science and also the first female Professor in Computer Science.
