Bukola Fawole-Oronti is a member of the ALAC. She was selected to the ALAC by the ICANN officers to serve from November 2023 to the Annual General Meeting in 2025 representing AFRALO one of the five RALOs where she actively represents African Internet users in global policy discussions. She is involved in ISOC Nigeria and she has held various leadership roles including Financial Secretary and Treasurer, where she contributed to the chapter's growth and financial health. At the ISOC global level, she volunteers as a Tutor (NetOps 1.0, 2.0 & DDCN) and Application Reviewer.

Bukola is an accomplished Network Administrator at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a passionate advocate for Internet governance, with a focus on empowering African communities. She has extensive experience in network operations, security, and infrastructure management, helping organizations optimize and secure their digital environments.[1][2]

Bukola's first ICANN meeting was ICANN 49 in Singapore, where she was an ICANN Fellow. She also won the Tarek Kamel Fellowship Recognition for ICANN 76. She is a student of the ICANN Policy Development Accelerator program (Pilot, Class 1 & Class 2).

Bukola completed her bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. She also completed two different postgraduate studies from the University of Ibadan, Computer Systems (Masters) and Information Science (Masters).

Driven by a vision for a more inclusive and equitable Internet, Bukola continues to advocate for digital literacy, improved connectivity, and policies that address the unique needs of African Internet users. She is also involved in AFRINIC.[1]
