Paul Vixie is the VP of Security at Amazon Web Services. Before that, he was the Founder and CEO of Farsight Security from July 2013 to November 2021. He is the author of several RFCs and well-known UNIX system programs, including SENDS, proxynet, rtty, and Vixie cron. He was elected to ARIN's board of trustees in 2004 and reelected in 2007 and 2010. Paul was elected chairman in 2009 and 2010. He was foundational to the formation of ICANN's RSSAC and SSAC.

- Registration for ICANN 75 Annual General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is open! ICANN 75 will be a hybrid event from 17–22 September 2022.

- On August 11, the 2022 Nominating Committee announced its selections for:
- the ICANN Board (Maarten Botterman, Christopher Chapman, Sajidur Rahman);
- the Public Technical Identifiers Board of Directors (Tobias Sattler);
- the At-Large Advisory Committee (Eduardo Díaz, Tommi Karttaavi);
- the Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council (Olga Cavalli); and
- the Generic Names Supporting Organization Council (Anne Aikman-Scalese).
- Those selected will begin their terms at the conclusion of ICANN 75.
